Maize PH 2 TNVV

Field Performance of PH 2 TNVV

When selecting a hybrid for multi-purpose farming, Pioneer s.a. PH 2 TNVV stands out as a reliable choice. The intermediate grain type provides a perfect balance between density and moisture release during the maturation phase.

Versatility in the Field

The core value of PH 2 TNVV lies in its flexibility. Use it for three distinct purposes:

• Grain: reliable yield with high test weight.
• Silage: the vegetative mass remains green for an extended period, allowing for high-energy feed production.
• Grits: the yellow intermediate grain is well-suited for processing, maximizing market opportunities.

The medium-maturity cycle allows for better logistics during harvest. The US-based breeding from Pioneer Overseas Corporation is evident in its durability: the stalks are resistant to lodging, and the ears are well-protected by the husks, which is crucial for handling autumn wind and rain.

Operating Insights

To achieve peak performance, it is essential to follow the planting density guidelines provided by the breeder. PH 2 TNVV thrives in fertile soils where it can maximize its nutrient uptake. This makes it an ideal pick for farms looking for consistency and predictability in unpredictable weather conditions.
