Description NK LUGAN
Corn NK LUGAN is a mid-season simple grain hybrid developed by Syngenta for intensive cultivation in the Forest-Steppe zone and northern Steppe regions. The hybrid is distinguished by high drought and cold tolerance, enabling successful cultivation under unstable moisture conditions and high temperatures. Medium-sized ears contain 14–16 rows of yellow dent kernels that rapidly lose moisture upon maturation, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.

NK LUGAN has a high yield potential — up to 14–15 tons of grain and 7–8 tons of silage per hectare under irrigation. The hybrid is resistant to root and stalk rot, helminthosporium, and common rust, and demonstrates excellent lodging resistance. Thanks to its high growth intensity and ability to form a second ear, it delivers stable and impressive results even under challenging agroclimatic conditions.

Starch content in the grain reaches 72–74%, making NK LUGAN especially valuable for the food industry. Additionally, corn is widely used in animal husbandry and poultry farming, as well as in the production of fibers, adhesives, rubber, soap, and pharmaceuticals. Its versatility and high productivity make this hybrid a sought-after choice for modern agricultural enterprises.
