Maize MEMOXX / MEMOKS

Genetic Architecture of the Memox Hybrid

The French corn hybrid Memox from RAGT is a solution designed to maximize commercial grain yield. During the development of this hybrid, breeders focused on optimizing physiological maturation processes, which is crucial for high performance in the grain segment. The simple hybrid type ensures a high level of crop uniformity, simplifying harvesting equipment setup and minimizing shelling losses.

FAO and Adaptability

The FAO rating in the 90–1240 range positions Memox as a flexible tool for agronomists. The wide maturity range allows for the adaptation of sowing areas to specific regional climatic conditions, ensuring optimal dry matter accumulation by harvest time. The engineering design within the cob structure is aimed at accelerated moisture release, which reduces post-harvest grain drying costs.

Technological Potential

• Hybrid Type: Simple. It provides a predictable response to fertilizer application and stand density, which is critical for industrial grain cultivation.
• Application: Exclusively for grain use. The plant morphology is optimized to form a heavy, well-filled cob with a high grain output.
• Origin: Developed by RAGT (France) in collaboration with a pool of international breeding centers, ensuring compliance with rigorous seed quality standards.

Utilizing Memox in commercial fields marks a transition to intensive farming, where every stage from planting to harvesting is focused on the efficient use of moisture and nutrients. Due to its high uniformity, the hybrid allows for realizing yield potential even under variable weather conditions throughout the growing season.
