The Mateus corn hybrid is a simple, dent-type variety with high yield potential, reaching up to 16 tons per hectare. This mid-early hybrid features vigorous growth and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Plant height ranges from 320 to 350 cm, and ear attachment height is 100-130 cm, facilitating harvest convenience.

Mateus has a balanced component composition, ensuring high and stable yields. The ear contains 16 to 18 rows of kernels, with 34 to 40 kernels per row, totaling 540 to 680 kernels per ear. Kernel protein content is approximately 9.6%, which is favorable for both feed and grain use. The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to diseases such as helmintosporiosis, stem and ear fusarium, and smut, with resistance ratings of 8-9 points.

Agronomic characteristics of the hybrid include high resistance to lodging and stem breakage, as well as tolerance to cold and drought. Early plant development is rapid, promoting successful adaptation and growth under various conditions. Recommended planting rates depend on soil moisture levels: 70,000-75,000 seeds per hectare under optimal moisture, and 60,000-65,000 under suboptimal conditions. The Mateus hybrid is suitable for both grain and silage production, making it a versatile and profitable choice for farmers.
