Maize LG30246

Consistent Performance in Grain Maize

When selecting a hybrid for grain production, a farmer prioritizes yield reliability and disease resistance. The French-bred Limagrain LG30246 offers a proven balance for such needs. Based on field observations, the intermediate grain type is a significant advantage, providing efficient moisture release during the autumn harvest, which directly translates into reduced drying costs.

Disease Resistance and Field Health

Managing infection risk is a core challenge in corn production. LG30246 shows impressive resilience against common pathogens, including loose and head smut, as well as Fusarium. Its sturdy stalks are designed to withstand lodging, ensuring that the harvest process is smooth and that mechanical losses are minimized at the header.

Planting Density and Management

Flexibility is the hallmark of this hybrid. Depending on your soil moisture levels and local climate, the target plant population can be adjusted:

• 50–55k plants/ha: Best for low-moisture regions.
• 60–70k plants/ha: Recommended for standard growing conditions.
• 70–85k plants/ha: Ideal for high-input or irrigated fields to maximize yield potential.

From an operational standpoint, this hybrid is easy to manage. It responds predictably to standard fertilization and maintenance protocols, allowing for efficient field operations without the need for overly complex or specialized crop protection strategies.
