Maize LEONOWO

LEONOWO corn is a simple hybrid with a silvery-toothed kernel type and FAO 260, corresponding to a medium-early maturity period. This hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including western, central, north-eastern, and southern areas, and is appropriate for both grain and silage use. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 75-80 thousand seeds per hectare under optimal conditions, 65-70 thousand under suboptimal conditions. Each package contains 80 thousand seeds.

LEONOWO stands out for its high yield and excellent tolerance to major corn diseases such as smut, helmintosporiosis, stem and ear fusarium. Plants reach a height of 250-270 cm, with ears attached at a height of 85-90 cm. Each ear develops 14-16 rows of kernels, with 40 kernels per row, totaling 560 to 640 kernels per ear. The 1000-kernel weight is 360-380 g, protein content is 9.2%, and starch content is 73.2%. Due to the high leafiness of the plants, this hybrid has significant forage potential.

Practical trials have shown stable yield results across various regions, ranging from 77 to 130 centners per hectare depending on region and year. LEONOWO is characterized by high resistance to stem breakage, cold tolerance, and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality and stable yields.
