Description GS 450
The GS 450 corn hybrid is a mid-late maturity trihybrid variety with FAO 370, registered in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. The plant is characterized by high height and broad leaves of medium width. The vegetation period is approximately 116 days, which is several days shorter than the standard. The ear is cylindrical, of medium length and diameter, with a large number of rows and kernels of dent type, colored in orange-yellow shades. The grain yield from the ear reaches 90%, and the moisture content at harvest is about 21.9%, which is lower than the standard. GS 450 demonstrates high yield — on average 67.9 c/ha with a maximum of 96.8 c/ha, exceeding the standard by 9.7%. The recommended planting density varies depending on the water supply level: from 60 to 70 thousand plants per hectare with annual precipitation of 350 mm and above. The hybrid is characterized by weak anthocyanin coloring of various parts of the plant, which is its distinctive morphological feature. Corn GS 450 has good drought and cold resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. The hybrid is suitable for producing corn with high starch content and can be used for various purposes, including bioethanol and biogas production, as well as silage. Due to its high disease resistance and rapid water release, GS 450 is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high yield.
