When working with the 'Da Siboni' hybrid from DOW AgroSciences, one immediately notices its predictability. This dent-type corn hybrid, originating from US breeding centers, stands firm under difficult conditions, which is crucial for those focused on grain production. With an FAO range of 90–1240, this hybrid demonstrates impressive plasticity.

Field Nuances and Agronomy

A vegetation period of 140–160 days requires precise harvest logistics planning, but the results are worth it. In practice, 'Da Siboni' shows excellent resistance, particularly against stalk rot. To achieve maximum yield, we have established two optimal planting density schemes through experience:

• 55,000–60,000 seeds/ha — for soil with limited moisture availability.
• 65,000–70,000 seeds/ha — for fertile, well-moistened plots with intensive fertilization.

The dent-type grain has a high test weight, which simplifies post-harvest processing at the granary. Reduced harvesting losses are another significant advantage of this hybrid: the ears hold firm but release grain cleanly and without excessive damage.
