ES Dimension

The hybrid maize ES Dimension is a high-yielding and versatile variety, designed for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe regions of Ukraine. It belongs to the mid-early hybrids with FAO index 330 and a vegetation period of about 115–120 days. Plants reach a height of approximately 270 cm, with ears positioned at about 120 cm. Kernels are cream-colored, dent-shaped, with 14–16 rows per ear and 28 kernels per row, providing a high 1000-kernel weight of approximately 320 grams. The hybrid exhibits good leafiness and a well-developed root system, contributing to resistance against lodging and drought. ES Dimension shows high resistance to major maize diseases, including common and southern rust, ear and stem fusarium, and helminthosporium. Due to its tolerance to fertilizers and low maintenance requirements, this hybrid is suitable for medium and extensive cultivation systems. High initial growth energy and rapid moisture release during grain maturation reduce drying costs and improve harvest efficiency. The yield potential of ES Dimension reaches 180 ц/ha, while actual yields in Ukrainian farms average 100–113 ц/ha at 14% grain moisture. Recommended planting density varies depending on soil moisture: 65–70 thousand plants per hectare in well-watered zones and 50–65 thousand plants per hectare in drier regions. The hybrid is suitable for grain and flour production, distinguished by high moisture release and lodging resistance, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking stable and high yields.
