Maize Erwinga

Yield Stability and Early Maturation

Amidst growing climatic instability, farmers are increasingly turning to early-maturing solutions. The "Ervinga" maize variety, developed by the Ukrainian breeding company "RVA Ukraina," is a classic cultivar focused on delivering high-quality grain within a tight timeframe.

Key Advantages

• Vegetation Period: 90–100 days. This allows crops to avoid mid-summer drought and facilitates better scheduling of the harvest season.
• Usage: Grain production. The variety demonstrates excellent grain moisture dry-down, which is critical for reducing post-harvest drying costs.
• Adaptability: Domestic breeding ensures strong resistance to local pathogens and environmental stresses characteristic of the Ukrainian soil and climate zones.

Who is this variety for?

"Ervinga" is perfectly suited for farms practicing intensive crop rotation, where it is essential to clear fields for winter crops by late August or September. Unlike high-input hybrids that require ideal conditions, this variety is more flexible regarding the agricultural background, making it a reliable tool for farms with moderate mineral fertilizer application levels.

Its primary strength lies in predictable development. While the genetic potential of open-pollinated varieties often trails behind top-tier hybrids in terms of maximum yield ceiling, "Ervinga" prevails through stability during unfavorable years, when more demanding crops fail to reach their full potential.
