Maize MOONLIGHT

Reliable Yields in Short Timeframes

When the agronomic window is tight and the goal is to achieve predictable results without the risk of early autumn frosts, farmers rely on early-maturing corn. The "Moonlight" hybrid from the American breeding school, Monsanto, serves this exact niche. With a maturation period of 90–100 days, this crop demonstrates excellent plasticity, making it a reliable tool for crop rotation planning.

Practical Field Scenarios

• Double Cropping: Due to its short vegetation period, this hybrid is frequently chosen for post-harvest planting following winter barley or early wheat.
• Emergency Planting: If the spring planting campaign is delayed due to weather, "Moonlight" acts as a backup, allowing farmers to stay within optimal planting dates without compromising grain quality.
• Harvest Sequencing: Integrating hybrids with different maturity ratings, including this early-maturing option, allows for better management of harvest equipment and drying facility workloads.

Field experience shows that "Moonlight" effectively sheds moisture as it matures, significantly reducing post-harvest drying costs. This is more than just seed; it is a technological solution for operational cost optimization. The hybrid adapts well to various soil types, provided that fertilizer application protocols are followed. For agronomists, this choice represents stability when the objective is to secure high-quality corn production within a limited growing season.
