Maize EG 7077

French breeding for the food industry

The EG 7077 hybrid from the French brand Lidea (originator — Rustica Semences) is a specialized solution for the food corn segment. Unlike standard forage hybrids, the primary focus here is on the technological properties of the grain and its suitability for deep processing.

Key grain characteristics

• Grain type: The intensely yellow-orange color indicates a high carotenoid content. This is a critical factor for food manufacturers, where the final product's color determines its market appeal.
• Application: The hybrid's genetics are optimized for the requirements of the processing industry and fresh consumption. The endosperm density ensures a high yield of finished product during milling or heat treatment.
• Vegetation period: The medium-ripening maturity type allows the hybrid to effectively utilize the temperature regime during the grain-filling period, ensuring stable yields in temperate climate zones.

Practical application and agronomic potential

Choosing EG 7077 is a bet on crop liquidity. In a market demanding high-quality raw materials for processing, this hybrid eliminates the risks associated with selling "commodity-grade" corn. Thanks to the breeding work of Rustica Semences, the plant exhibits crop uniformity and predictable physiological maturity dates, which simplifies harvest logistics and optimizes grain drying costs.

For the farmer, this means more than just collecting volume; it provides a high-value-added product ready for direct supply to the food processing industry.
