Maize EG 7033

French genetics for the food processing industry

The EG 7033 hybrid from Lidea is a specialized solution designed for growers focused on the sweet corn market. Developed in France (originator: Av Du Capitaine N Tchorere, Airaines), this hybrid has established a strong reputation in professional vegetable farming due to its grain quality and performance during mechanized harvesting.

Agronomic features and morphology

The EG 7033 is easily recognizable by its conical-cylindrical ear shape. The kernels feature a distinct vibrant yellow-orange color, a trait highly valued in the consumer market for its aesthetic appeal. Beyond its visual characteristics, the grain structure is dense, ensuring it maintains its integrity during various industrial processing stages.

Applications and utility

The core advantage of EG 7033 is its versatility across the processing sector. It is optimized for several key industrial applications:

• Canning industry: provides consistent yields and structural stability during sterilization.
• Frozen foods: kernels retain their texture and organoleptic properties after shock freezing.
• Boiled corn: superior flavor profile makes it ideal for ready-to-eat food products.
• Processing: high performance in deep industrial processing cycles.

Lidea focuses on robust genetic material, ensuring yield stability even under varying climatic conditions. For producers operating under contracts with canning facilities or frozen food retailers, EG 7033 serves as a reliable choice for high-quality production outputs.
