Maize DS1382A

Reliable grain production with DOW AgroSciences genetics

The DS1382A corn hybrid from DOW AgroSciences represents a classic approach to robust field performance. As a three-way cross hybrid, it offers a distinct advantage over more sensitive high-intensity varieties: increased tolerance to environmental stressors. This makes it a dependable choice for farmers looking to minimize risk in unpredictable growing seasons while maintaining consistent grain output.

Performance and Technical Specs

Engineered primarily for grain production, DS1382A leverages American breeding expertise to provide a balanced agronomic profile. Its strengths lie in:

• Superior standability, which significantly mitigates lodging risks during the late-season harvest.
• Efficient grain moisture dry-down, ensuring cost-effective storage.
• Reliable response to standard fertilization programs.

To achieve the best results, the recommended planting density is 60,000–65,000 plants per hectare. Maintaining this density allows the plant to allocate its biological resources optimally toward ear development, preventing the physiological stress associated with overpopulation.

Why choose DS1382A?

DS1382A is designed for operations that prioritize yield stability over volatile "high-risk, high-reward" trends. It thrives under varied soil conditions and manages to produce a consistent grain crop even when conditions aren't perfect. For growers who need a workhorse hybrid that performs reliably across the board, DOW AgroSciences’ DS1382A remains a highly efficient tool for professional grain farming.
