Maize DKS 4109

Consistency in Every Field

When working with DKS 4109 from Monsanto, you realize this hybrid is a workhorse that you can rely on, whether you are harvesting for grain or silage. Its dent-type grain matures at an average pace, allowing it to reach peak performance before the autumn rains, which is essential for maintaining crop quality.

Agronomic Resilience

For an agronomist, not having to run the sprayer every time the weather looks questionable is a huge plus. DKS 4109 is built to withstand the major threats facing corn fields:

• High immunity against common smut and root rot.
• Excellent resistance to fusarium and helminthosporium, keeping both stems and ears healthy even in humid conditions.
• Stem rot resistance, which ensures the crop stays standing until harvest time, preventing lodging issues.

Field Management

Adjust the sowing density based on the soil's moisture availability. On high-fertility ground where inputs can be maximized, push it to 70,000–75,000 plants/ha, and the yield response is consistently strong. At harvest, the process is smooth—the stalk is sturdy, and the grain release is predictable, making the combine operation straightforward and efficient.

For any farming operation, this hybrid is a risk-reduction tool. It eliminates the guesswork and delivers a stable tonnage, whether it ends up in the silo or the bin.
