DKC 4964

DKC 4964 sweet corn is a mid-season hybrid with high yield and stability under various growing conditions. This variety is characterized by high drought tolerance (9 points) and cold resistance (8 points), ensuring its adaptability to diverse climatic and soil conditions. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture levels: 65-70 thousand plants per hectare under sufficient moisture, down to 50-55 thousand under limited moisture. The hybrid is suitable for grain and silage production, and can be grown in monoculture, under conventional and minimum tillage practices, including No-Tillage and irrigation.

DKC 4964 exhibits high tolerance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, smut, and fusarium, with resistance ratings of 8-9 points. Plants reach a height of 240-265 cm, have dent-type kernels with starch content exceeding 72%. The ear has 16-20 rows, with 38-43 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 300 to 400 grams. The hybrid shows rapid water shedding at maturity, facilitating harvest and improving yield quality.

This variety is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine, where it demonstrates high productivity and resilience to adverse factors.
