Chernovetskyi 260 SV — mid-early simple modified hybrid corn for grain production with FAO 270. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and is one of the most drought-tolerant in the steppe regions of Ukraine. It is recommended for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, where it demonstrates stable productivity.
Plants reach a height of 240–250 cm, with ear attachment height of 80–100 cm. The grain is yellow in color and has a cream-colored, toothed structure, with a 1000-grain weight of about 280 g. The hybrid exhibits stay-green trait (remontant), which ensures prolonged retention of green mass and contributes to resistance to lodging, cold, drought, as well as to major diseases and pests.
Potential grain yield is 12.5–13.0 t/ha. Seeds of the hybrid are produced on a sterile basis using full restoration scheme, guaranteeing high quality planting material. Due to its adaptive properties and resistance to adverse conditions, Chernovetskyi 260 SV is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable yields under challenging climatic conditions.
