Maize Corn Charm MV

Yield stability in high-risk zones

The 'Kulon MV' four-way hybrid, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute, is a proven choice for farmers operating in regions with a high risk of pathogen pressure. Unlike high-intensity hybrids that require rigid fungicide schedules, this variety demonstrates strong natural tolerance to a complex of diseases.

Phytosanitary barrier

The key advantage of this hybrid lies in its genetic resistance. Kulon MV effectively resists helminthosporiosis and stalk rot — the primary causes of lodging and grain quality degradation. This natural immunity makes it an optimal solution for agricultural enterprises with moderate technological resources, where minimizing crop loss risk without excessive pesticide expenditure is a priority.

Technical specifications

• Grain type: Yellow dent, providing high test weight and efficient moisture dry-down at maturity.
• Maturity: The medium-early ripening period allows the hybrid to escape extreme summer droughts and reach maturity before adverse weather conditions begin.
• Usage: Primarily for grain production, focusing on consistent yields under typical Ukrainian climatic conditions.

While not marketed as a high-intensity record-breaker, this hybrid remains a 'workhorse' for farmers who prioritize predictability. When sound agronomic practices are applied, it delivers stable results even in seasons with challenging infection pressure.
