Maize 53 IR

A Versatile Solution for the Sweet Corn Market

The "53 IR" variety from Ooo Niir Iragro (originator — Georgy Valeryevich Dzgoev) represents a unique segment of bicolored sweet corn on the market. Unlike standard monochromatic hybrids, this variety catches the attention of agronomists and processors due to its versatility and distinct organoleptic properties.

Farm Application Scenarios

Farmers select "53 IR" primarily for its broad culinary profile. The main directions for using this crop include:

• Fresh Market: Due to the combination of yellow and white kernels (bicolored type), the ear has an aesthetic appeal that stands out on retail shelves, directly impacting sales turnover.
• Processing (Canning): The stable chemical composition allows the variety to maintain kernel density and rich flavor after heat treatment, which is critical for canning facilities.
• Freezing: The variety handles flash freezing well without losing kernel structure, making it highly sought after by producers of quick-frozen vegetable mixes.

Agronomic Features

As a mid-maturing variety, "53 IR" allows for the construction of an optimal supply chain. The varietal nature of the material dictates specific agronomic requirements: the crop is responsive to crop rotation practices and high-quality soil preparation. Since it is a true variety rather than an F1 hybrid, it represents a reliable investment for farms focused on stable commodity output.

To reach target yield indicators, it is recommended to consider regional climate factors, as the variety demonstrates its best results in fertile soils with sufficient moisture levels during the grain-filling period.
