Corn SSK 175 is an early bicolor super-sweet hybrid of type SH2, developed by Syngenta. The vegetation period is 65-77 days, allowing for an early harvest. The plant is compact, 150-190 cm tall, with a branched root system and wide leaves, which promotes good growth and resistance to adverse weather conditions. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to various diseases, including resistance to Ps, Et, and Bm diseases, as well as adaptability to different agronomic practices. The corn ears are cylindrical, about 21-22 cm long and 5 cm in diameter, with 16-18 evenly arranged rows of kernels. The kernels are bicolor — approximately 70% yellow and 30% white — giving the ear an attractive appearance with vibrant yellow and pearl-white kernels. The top of the ear is fully filled with kernels, improving the product's commercial quality. The kernels are tender, juicy, and sweet, retaining their flavor and texture even after storage and thermal processing. The SSK 175 hybrid is recommended to be grown in warmed soil to accelerate seed germination, although young seedlings are resistant to temperature fluctuations. Corn is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing — canning and freezing. Due to its characteristics and resistance, this hybrid is an excellent choice for obtaining early and high-quality products.
