Crystall is a high-quality product made from the dried aerial parts of Italian helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), harvested at the full bud stage. The raw material is grown mainly on brown, brownish, and mountain-forest soils with a heavy mechanical composition, as well as on calcareous soils, which ensures the plant's drought resistance and high yield – up to 73.4 c/ha. The mass fraction of essential oil is about 0.17%, and as a result of harvesting, approximately 12.5 kg/ha of pure extract is obtained.
Crystall contains flavonoids (apigenin, helichrysin), vitamins C and K, essential oils, tannins, and resinous compounds. These components contribute to increased bile secretion, reduce bile viscosity, enhance liver enzyme secretion, and possess anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antispasmodic activity. Thanks to such properties, Crystall is used for liver, gallbladder, stomach, and kidney diseases, as well as as an adjunctive treatment for gastritis, pancreatitis, and cholecystitis.
The product is convenient to use both internally (powder or extract) and externally – helichrysum oil is used to treat skin diseases, including allergies and eczema. With proper dosing, Crystall does not cause side effects; however, with prolonged use, mild liver function disorders may occur, so it is recommended to follow the doctor's recommendations or the manufacturer's instructions.
