Zinnia "Cherry Queen" – an annual ornamental plant reaching a height of 60-90 cm with erect stems. The flowers are large, spherical, up to 10 cm in diameter, in a rich cherry shade, creating a bright accent on flower beds, borders, and in containers.
The flowering period lasts from June to September, sometimes continuing almost until the first frosts. The plant is light-loving, prefers sunny areas and grows well in light, drained soil rich in nutrients. Thanks to drought and heat resistance, "Cherry Queen" easily withstands adverse weather conditions.
For cultivation, seeds are sown in seedlings in April after preliminary soaking; seedlings appear in 5-10 days. Planting in open ground is possible from May, when the threat of spring frosts has passed. When sowing seeds, the depth is 1-1.5 cm, the distance between plants is about 40 cm.
Care for the plant is simple: regular watering without over-wetting, preferably at the root; periodic fertilizing with fertilizers every 2-3 weeks. "Cherry Queen" is also valued as a cut flower – it retains freshness in vases and is suitable for bouquets.
Thus, this zinnia combines bright ornamentation, ease of cultivation, and resistance to climatic loads, making it an ideal choice for garden compositions and landscape design.
