Zinnia 'Scarlett' – a compact annual variety known for its bright and full flowers in shades of red and orange. The bush has a rounded shape, branches well, and reaches a height of 15 to 55 cm depending on growing conditions. Flowers with a diameter of up to 4–5 cm (in the dwarf version) or about 15 cm (for the larger variety) form dense heads that attract not only viewers but also beneficial insects.
The plant is ideal for growing in pots on balconies, window sills, and terraces, as well as as a companion to marigolds, cosmos, and verbenas in small flower beds. In open ground, zinnia 'Scarlett' can reach a height of up to 90 cm if conditions permit. Blooming begins in mid-July and continues until the first frost, with flowers suitable for both fresh arrangements and cutting.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds indoors in February–March, after which the plants can be transplanted into pots by July. In open ground, sowing is best done in late May, after the risk of frost has passed. The plant prefers sunny locations and moderately moist soil; with proper care, flowers will bloom profusely in batches, creating a bright decorative mood throughout the season.
