The Demidov garlic variety is a mid-season winter variety with a maturation period of about 105-110 days. The plant is determinate, bulblet-bearing, with medium-length and medium-width green leaves covered with a waxy coating. The bulb is round-flat in shape, weighing about 62 grams, and contains 11 to 14 cloves with a simple structure. The dry skins have a lilac-purple color with anthocyanin streaks, the leathery skins are pink-red, and the flesh is white. The garlic has a sharp taste, making it attractive for culinary use.

The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to stress conditions, including temperature fluctuations. It is unpretentious in cultivation and suitable for open ground. The yield of the variety reaches 1.8 kg per square meter, and the bulbs differ in dense structure and excellent consistency. The fruit mass varies from 110 to 150 grams, which ensures a good commercial appearance. The high sugar and dry matter content in Demidov garlic contributes to excellent taste qualities and makes it suitable for consumption fresh and for juice preparation.

Studies have shown that the application of growth regulators, such as zinc, and optimal planting schemes contribute to increased yield and improved garlic quality. The biochemical composition of bulbs includes a significant content of vitamin C, which increases their nutritional value.
