This variety was obtained from sowing cherry trees of the 'Ideal' variety. Originator — VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Author of the variety I.V. Michurin. Introduced into the State Register since 1947.
The tree is low-growing with a medium-dense spherical crown. Branches are of medium length, thin, gray. Buds are conical, pointed, small, pressed against the branches. Leaves are small, elliptical, dark green. Petiole is thin, short. Flowers are small, white. Fruit set occurs on last year's growth.
Fruits are of medium size, weighing 3.0 g, one-dimensional, round in shape. Main fruit color is red, flesh is orange, tender, juice is light, taste score 3.2. Fruits contain 17.0% dry matter, 8.8% sugars, 119 mg/100g of biologically active substances, and 10.5 mg/100g of vitamin C. Peduncle is of medium length, thin. Easily separates from the branch. Stone is free, small, oval-shaped.
Begins fruiting in the 2nd-3rd year. Ripening period is medium-late.
Advantages of the variety: high winter hardiness and yield, low growth, high resistance to diseases and pests.
Disadvantages of the variety: small fruits of mediocre taste.
