Obtained from pollination of the 'Metelitsa' variety with a pollen mixture of the 'Vladimirovskaya' + 'Mayak' varieties at the Siberian Institute of Horticulture named after M.A. Lisavensky. Authors: G.I. Subbotin, I.P. Kalinina. Approved in 1991.
Medium-sized, multi-stemmed bush, up to 2.5 m tall. Round, spreading, dense crown. Bark dark-red with a grayish coating, smooth, with small yellow lenticels. Medium-thickness shoots, straight, curved downward in the lower part of the crown, dark-red, smooth. Internodes medium. Buds large, bluntly pointed. Leaves large, lanceolate, long-pointed, base wedge-shaped, apex pointed. Leaf blade smooth, dark-green, shiny, concave (like a boat), doubly serrated, medium. Leaf petiole dark-red, medium, yellow glands visible, no stipules. Flowers medium, 2-5 per cluster, rose-colored, white, 20-25 mm in diameter, petal shape oval-egg-shaped, 5-6 x 8-10 mm, buds rose-colored, sepals 4-5 x 5-7 mm, oval.
Fruits round, 14 mm high, 12 mm wide, average weight 4.2 g, single-colored red. Flesh dense, juicy, red, juice red. Taste sour-sweet, pleasant, versatile. Fruit stalk attachment strong. Fruits contain 13% dry matter, 10.5% sugars, 1.6% acids, 0.3% tannins, vitamins: C — 26 mg/100g, P — 283 mg/100g. Fruit stalk long — 40-50 mm, medium thickness — 2-2.5 mm. Stone medium, oval, 0.2 g.
Fruits ripen in the third decade of July, transportability medium. Shoots stop growing in the first decade of July, leaf fall ends in the second decade of October, heat-tolerant, drought-resistant, average yield per bush 7.3 kg, maximum 11.5 kg. Medium winter-hardy variety, plants freeze to 1.5-2.0 points in severe winters, self-sterile, not resistant to coccomycosis. Selected for high yield and good fruit flavor. Best pollinators: Altai Lastochka, Selifertovskaya, Zhelannaya, Maximovskaya.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, easily propagated by green cuttings, good-tasting fruits.
Disadvantages: not resistant to coccomycosis, susceptible to freezing in severe winters to a moderate degree.
