Cabbage Bermuda

Reliable harvest: the Working with Bermuda hybrid

When planning a season, it is vital to have a crop that won’t let you down in the field and will be in demand on the market. Bermuda cabbage from the Dutch breeding company Wing Seed is exactly that case where predictable results become your main competitive advantage.

In the field: shape and consistency

The first thing you notice during harvest is the uniformity of the heads. The flat-round heads weighing 2–3 kg go into crates almost like they were made by a template. The plant is robust, handles field conditions perfectly, and doesn't require any special pampering during the growth phase.

Versatility in sales

First of all, its versatility. If the fresh market prices dip, this cabbage can easily be diverted to processing — the density of the head allows for efficient handling on various types of equipment. The leaves are not too coarse, which is highly appreciated by retail chains.

• Maturation: mid-late cycle (90–100 days from transplant).
• Commercial head weight: ideal mid-range of 2.0–3.0 kg.
• Usage: professional farming (fresh market + processing plants).

Working with this hybrid is comfortable: it is not demanding, predictable in its development, and provides a stable yield of marketable produce per hectare. If you need a hybrid with Dutch lineage that simply does the job without extra hassle, Bermuda is one of the most reliable options available.
