Buckwheat Kupava

Genetics and Breeding Excellence

The 'Kupava' variety is a product of fundamental research conducted by the Scientific and Practical Center for Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The development was led by renowned breeders Tatyana Bardiyan and Vitaly Kudelko. The goal was to provide farmers with a robust seed stock capable of maintaining consistent yield potential under temperate climate conditions.

Agrobiological Profile

Kupava is classified as a mid-season buckwheat variety. With a vegetation period ranging from 110 to 120 days, it allows the crop to effectively leverage soil moisture levels throughout the summer season. This specific timeframe is optimal for developing high-quality grain with superior milling and output characteristics.

Market Reputation

Since its market debut, Kupava has established itself as a reliable asset for agricultural enterprises focused on sustainable production. As the originator and patent holder, the Scientific and Practical Center for Agriculture maintains rigorous oversight of the seed production process. This commitment to quality minimizes the risks of variety degeneration, making Kupava a preferred choice for both small-scale farmers and large-scale agricultural holdings that prioritize harvest predictability.

Key Advantages

• Consistent maturation cycle, facilitating efficient harvest planning.
• Genetic purity guaranteed by years of specialized research by Belarusian breeders.
• High adaptability to various soil types, confirmed by extensive cultivation history across the region.

Choosing this variety is an investment in proven breeding, ensuring consistent performance and quality when producing buckwheat grain.
