MEMORY OF RYZHKOVA BEAN

The vegetable bean variety «Memory of Ryzhkova» is a mid-season bush type with a plant height of about 46 cm. The leaves are green, medium-sized and crinkled, with purple flowers. The pods of this variety are elegant, green in color, 12–15 cm long, rounded in cross-section, with a pointed or blunt top and an average beak length. At technical maturity, the pods are slightly curved, without a parchment layer and fibers, making them particularly suitable for culinary use.


The variety is distinguished by good taste qualities and high nutritional value, which allows the use of beans in fresh form, as well as for canning and freezing. The period from germination to maturity is about 96 days, which makes the variety mid-season. The bean seeds are kidney-shaped, black with a gray pattern and weak venation, of medium weight — 265-290 g per 1000 seeds. Market yield of pods reaches 1.7 kg per square meter.


«Memory of Ryzhkova» is valued for abundant and prolonged fruiting, high marketability and resistance to anthracnose, which ensures a stable yield and product quality. The height of attachment of the lower pods is 10-15 cm, which facilitates harvest collection. Due to its characteristics, the bean of this variety is an excellent choice for growing in personal subsidiary farms and use in various culinary purposes.
