Description LITTLE GREEK
Little Greek is a dwarf narrow-leaf basil variety that forms compact, spherical mini-bushes up to 30-35 cm in height. The plant has small leaves of a rich green color with a pleasant aroma and mild spicy flavor. Due to its size and decorative appearance, this basil is ideal for growing in pots, making it convenient for home use and placement on window sills.

To successfully grow Little Greek, warmth and adequate moisture are required, especially during seed germination and until flowering begins. Seeds germinate at soil temperatures not lower than 10 °C; the optimal germination temperature is 20-26 °C, at which seedlings appear in 6-14 days. The plant flowers from June to August, with mass flowering in mid-July. For planting, it is recommended to choose well-drained, fertile loam or loamy sand soils.

When growing, it is important to promptly transplant seedlings to their permanent location once they reach a height of about 5 cm. To form a fuller and more branched bush, the top should be pinched after the appearance of 4-6 leaves. Little Greek is widely used fresh in salads, as well as a natural flavoring agent in cooking and canning. To protect against pests, it is recommended to closely monitor the condition of the plants and apply fast-acting insecticides if necessary.
