Barley Platon

Winter barley PLATON® is a medium-late grain barley variety developed through intraspecific hybridization. The plant features a dense six-rowed ear with long awns and a semi-long-grained grain of medium size. The weight of 1000 grains ranges from 32 to 42.8 grams, with a protein content in the grain of 10.0-11.4%. The variety is suitable for cultivation on various soil types and in different climatic conditions, making it versatile for agronomic use. PLATON® is distinguished by its high resistance to lodging, drought resistance, and winter hardiness, ensuring stable yields even in adverse weather conditions. It exhibits high resistance to leaf diseases, including powdery mildew, loose smut, helminthosporiosis, and dwarf rust, significantly reducing crop losses and the need for frequent fungicide application. The average yield of the variety in growing regions reaches 33.6-43.8 centners per hectare, and under optimal conditions can exceed 90 centners per hectare. The PLATON® variety is widely used in agriculture for grain and feed production due to its high agronomic characteristics. The recommended sowing rate is 4.0-4.5 million viable seeds per hectare, which ensures optimal plant development and maximum productivity. Thanks to its qualities and adaptability, barley PLATON® is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and quality yields.
