Barley Mickle

Maximum Performance in Challenging Conditions

The winter six-row barley variety «Mikl» from Syngenta represents high-level Swiss breeding, designed for farms that prioritize stability and disease resistance. In fields where fungal pressure is constant, «Mikl» acts as a biological shield, protecting yield potential from the early stages of development.

Practical Field Application

Agronomists choose «Mikl» to streamline crop protection strategies. Its genetic profile allows for more flexible fungicide application timing, which is a key factor in cost-efficient farming:

• Disease Resistance: The variety shows strong tolerance to Helminthosporium, Net Blotch, Powdery Mildew, and Dwarf Rust. This reduces the risk of leaf damage and helps maintain canopy health during grain filling.
• Productivity: The six-row ear configuration ensures high grain density. The variety responds excellently to nitrogen management, effectively converting inputs into biomass and high-quality yield.

The plant demonstrates excellent winter hardiness and a rapid spring start, which is essential for surviving erratic spring weather. Its robust root system helps the crop establish itself quickly, ensuring uniform growth even under varying soil conditions. For large-scale farming, «Mikl» offers the advantage of predictable performance, making logistics and post-harvest storage planning significantly more efficient.

Why choose «Mikl»?

When selecting a hybrid for intensive production, the goal is to protect the yield from uncontrollable environmental factors. «Mikl» is engineered to retain its green leaf area longer, maximizing photosynthesis. It is a reliable choice for farmers looking to mitigate risks associated with common barley pathogens while pushing for top-tier yields through modern agronomic practices.
