Barley Klarinette

French Breeding for Consistent Yields

Winter barley «Klarinette» from Secobra Recherches S.A.S represents a premium approach to cereal cultivation. As a two-row variety, it is engineered specifically for those who prioritize grain quality, bold kernel weight, and marketability over simple biomass volume.

Agronomic Strengths

The primary advantage of Klarinette is its robust physiological structure. Standing at 80–90 cm, it exhibits excellent lodging resistance, making it suitable for high-input management systems where nitrogen application is necessary to push yields. With a thousand-grain weight (TGW) ranging between 45 and 50 grams, the variety provides vigorous early-stage growth and a strong foundation for a healthy crop even in challenging soil conditions.

Disease Resistance Profile

Modern farming requires varieties that minimize reliance on constant chemical applications. Klarinette provides a comprehensive shield against common yield-robbing pathogens:

• High tolerance against Net Blotch and Rhynchosporium.
• Strong resistance to Powdery Mildew.
• Genetically sound defense against Dwarf Leaf Rust.

Klarinette is not just another barley; it is a specialized tool for farmers aiming to produce high-density, uniform grain. It excels in fertile fields and performs reliably under standard optimal sowing timelines. It is the optimal choice for operations focused on exporting or specific processing markets where grain uniformity is a key commercial metric.
