Firefoxx

Firefoxx is a medium-maturing spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety intended for brewing purposes. It is recommended for cultivation in the Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions and has been included in the State Register since 2022, suitable for cultivation in ten regions. The variety is characterized by resistance to lodging and drought, ensuring stable yields under adverse conditions.

The thousand-grain weight varies from 42 to 56 grams, indicating good seed quality. The average yield in the West Siberian region is approximately 40.3 centners per hectare, confirming its productivity. However, in field trials, the variety was severely affected by powdery mildew, which should be considered when planning crop protection.

Firefoxx is the result of breeding by SAATEN-UNION GMBH from Germany, guaranteeing high quality and modern breeding achievements. The variety is suitable for agricultural conditions in Western Siberia and may be recommended for farmers focused on brewing barley with good resistance to adverse factors.
