Barley CHOICE

Winter Barley 'Vybor': Focus on Adaptability

Breeding by the Nemchinovka Research Center traditionally emphasizes stability in temperate climate zones. The 'Vybor' winter barley variety is the result of years of development aimed at creating a crop capable of not only surviving harsh winters but also delivering high yields across various soil types. Unlike many intensive foreign hybrids that require perfect conditions, 'Vybor' offers a more flexible and resilient approach.

Key Advantages

• High Winter Hardiness: Known for the resilience of Nemchinovka’s genetics, this variety withstands sharp temperature fluctuations.
• Plasticity: It adapts well to different soil fertility levels, allowing farmers to manage production costs effectively without sacrificing reliability.
• Grain Quality: 'Vybor' meets both feed and food industry standards, providing consistent grain density (test weight).

Who is this variety for?

The 'Vybor' variety is an optimal choice for producers working in regions with unstable precipitation and harsh winters. It is not an 'intensive' hybrid designed solely for record-breaking chemical-heavy operations; rather, it is a balanced tool for those seeking consistent and predictable performance. A minor limitation is the need for precise sowing dates: sowing too early can lead to overgrowth, which requires the use of growth regulators. However, under correct agrotechnical practices, it provides a stable harvest that justifies the investment.
