Chivas

Baklazhan Chivas F1 — early hybrid developed by breeders of Bakker Brothers from the Netherlands. This variety features a short growing period of 60-70 days from transplanting seedlings into open ground or greenhouse. The plant is strong, thornless, with rapidly accumulating foliage and a well-developed root system, providing resistance to drought, heat, and sharp temperature fluctuations. Chivas F1 is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including all zones of Ukraine, and can be grown both as seedlings and direct sowing into the soil. The fruits of Chivas eggplant are tear-shaped or oval-cylindrical, 18-20 cm long and weighing 320-400 grams, with potential up to 650 grams. The skin is dense, glossy, dark purple with a black tint, maintaining market appearance even when overgrown. The flesh is light beige or white, dense, free of bitterness, with a small seed cavity, making the eggplants especially tasty and versatile in cooking. Hybrid Chivas F1 has high yield and stable fruit formation — up to 10 identical eggplants can form on one plant. Due to high storability and good transportability, the fruits retain their taste and appearance during long storage and transport. This variety is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and other processing methods, making it a universal choice for farmers and gardeners.
