Aster HAVSKAYA SALMON-PINK ASTER

Floral Architecture and Yield Potential

The 'Khavskaya Salmon-Pink' aster represents a specialized selection by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing. The technical core of this cultivar lies in the rigorous stabilization of its peony-like inflorescence. Unlike loose varieties, the petal density is engineered through a specific arrangement of internal ray florets, resulting in a firm, spherical bloom measuring 8–10 cm in diameter.

Biometrics and Cultivation Mechanics

• Habitus: The plant develops robust stems reaching 50–80 cm in height. This structural integrity is essential for commercial cut flower production, ensuring vertical stability even after heavy rainfall.
• Growth Cycle: As an annual, the variety optimizes its metabolic resources for the generative phase. Lacking winter hardiness, the plant focuses exclusively on intensive, sustained blooming throughout the growing season.
• Adaptability: The cultivar exhibits high plastic response to various environments. Due to its balanced root system, it is equally effective in open ground beds or container gardening, providing flexibility for terrace and patio landscaping.

For growers prioritizing the cut flower market, 'Khavskaya Salmon-Pink' offers a distinct advantage: high durability in a vase, provided standard water hygiene and temperature control protocols are maintained.
