Aster HAVSKA SILVERY

An Engineering Approach to Breeding: Morphology and Genetics

«Khavskaya Serebristaya» is the result of dedicated breeding work by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production. Unlike market hybrids focused on mass production, this variety prioritizes bush habit stability. The genetic profile of the cultivar defines a compact plant structure, which is critical for landscape design where predictability in height and planting density is required.

Technical Specifications and Performance Properties

• Plant Type: Cultivar (stable traits when saving seeds).
• Application Profile: Professional and amateur flowerbed design.
• Morphological Node: The variety is characterized by high uniformity, minimizing visual chaos in group plantings.

The key feature of «Khavskaya Serebristaya» is the balance between vegetative mass and reproductive organs. Breeders have achieved a nutrient distribution where plant energy is directed toward sustained flower formation rather than excessive branching, which is often a common issue in decorative asters. Using this variety in flowerbeds allows for high-density coverage without the need for excessive plant growth regulators.

Practical application requires accounting for light conditions: «Khavskaya Serebristaya» demonstrates optimal stem stability when planted at the recommended density specified by the originator. From an agronomic standpoint, this provides a predictable performance throughout the entire growing season.
