Gurman

The Artichoke «Gourman» is a mid-season annual variety known for its high yield and disease resistance. The plant reaches a height of up to 150 cm, with flower heads in a spherical shape measuring 8–10 cm in diameter and weighing 70–90 g each. The flowers are colored in a bluish-purple hue, giving the artichoke an attractive appearance.

The fleshy receptacle and lower parts of the bracts are edible at the beginning of flowering and can be used fresh, boiled, or canned. Thanks to its structure and taste, the artichoke «Gourman» is perfect for preparing salads, pasta, stews, and other Mediterranean dishes.

Successful cultivation of this variety requires a warm, light-loving climate, well-processed fertile soils with good drainage. Sowing is conducted in March–April, while transplanting occurs in May–June; the harvest is gathered from July to September. With proper care, the plant provides a stable yield throughout the season while maintaining its characteristic aroma and beneficial properties.
