Winter, disease-resistant variety from the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection, obtained by sowing seeds from the 1981 harvest (814 — free pollination) in 1982. In 1995, the seedling was selected for elite quality. The first fruiting of the seedling was recorded in 1991. Breeders: E. N. Sedov, Z. M. Serova, V. V. Zhданov, E. A. Dolmatov.
The variety was accepted for State Testing in the Central, Central Chernozem, and Lower Volga regions of Russia in 1998. In October 1999, at the "Vozrozhdenie Rossiyskogo Sela" exhibition held at the "VDNKh-EXPO" Exhibition and Fair Complex, the variety Stroyevskoye was awarded a Gold Medal and Diploma.
Trees of medium size, fast-growing with a broad-pyramidal crown of medium density. Bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth and gray. Fruit-bearing type is mixed — on spurs and short spurs.
Shoots of medium thickness, curved, arched, angular, brown, heavily hairy. Buds on the shoot are small and few. Buds are pressed, conical, hairy. Leaves are large, elongated, egg-shaped, long-pointed with a spirally twisted apex, light green with a yellowish tint, wrinkled, shiny with coarse venation. Leaf blade is concave, curved downward. Leaf margin is finely toothed, wavy. Petioles are medium length, thick, hairy.
Inflorescences are shield-shaped, with 4-6 flowers per inflorescence; buds are white-pink; flower is flat, medium-sized; petals are pink with more brightly colored veins, rounded, not closed. Stigmas are at the same level as stamens. Pedicel is medium length. Stigma column is not hairy.
Fruits of medium size, moderately flattened, conical, weakly ribbed, slightly ribbed. Fruit skin is smooth and shiny. Main color at harvest is greenish-yellow; at consumer maturity — golden-yellow. Cover color is mostly in the form of merging stripes and blurred pink blush. Under-skin spots are numerous, gray, clearly visible. Fruit stem is short, medium thickness, straight, oblique. Bore is narrow, conical with slight rusting. Receptacle is closed. Plate is medium, narrow, grooved. Core is onion-like. Chambers are closed. Sub-receptacle tube is medium length, wedge-shaped. Seeds are narrow, conical, light brown.
Flesh is white, greenish, firm, coarse-grained, juicy. Appearance rating of fruits is 4.5 points, taste rating is 4.4 points. Chemical composition of fruits: total sugars — 9.0%, titratable acids — 0.52%, ascorbic acid content — 8.7 mg/100g, P-active substances — 433 mg/100g.
Harvesting maturity of fruits in the Oryol region occurs from September 15-20. Consumption period lasts from October 15 to February 20.
The variety is high-yielding. Young trees aged 8-11 years, on average, yielded 117 centners per hectare during 1994-1997, whereas the control variety Antonovka ordinary yielded only 67 centners per hectare.
The variety is characterized by relatively high winter hardiness. Under artificial freezing (S. V. Rezvyakova) in January at ‑40ºC, buds froze by 1.2 points and wood shoots by 1.6 points. No freezing of bark and cambium was observed.
Advantages of the variety: resistance to scab (gene Vf), attractive, marketable winter-ripening fruits with dessert flavor.
On weak-growing rootstocks (134 and 3-17-38), the variety is suitable for intensive orchards.
