MINNEVOSTA

The Minnevošta apple variety, also known as Doneshšta, is a summer variety characterized by large fruits weighing from 140 to 170 grams. The apples have a round, slightly flattened shape with five clearly defined ribs and a yellow-pale color with a glossy sheen. The flesh, with a creamy shade, features medium density, high juiciness, and a pleasant sweet taste with a slight tang. The fruits ripen in the second decade of August and can be used both fresh and for making juices and wine. Under cool storage conditions, the apples remain fresh for about two months, ensuring good transportability and long-term use of the harvest. Minnevošta apple trees are distinguished by their frost resistance and stability against adverse weather conditions, including drought. The tree is medium-sized with a slightly dense crown, reaching a height of up to 3.5 meters when grown on semi-dwarf rootstock 54-118. This rootstock promotes rapid rooting, intensive growth, and early fruiting as early as the 2nd-3rd year after planting. The trees do not produce root suckers and do not require constant support, which eases garden maintenance. To maintain health and productivity, it is recommended to thin out branches and fertilize regularly three times a year. The variety's yield is initially moderate but increases each year, and fruit harvesting can be done multiple times per season. Seedlings are recommended to be planted at a distance of about three meters from each other. During drought, a single abundant watering is sufficient, making the variety low-maintenance. Thanks to its taste qualities, disease resistance, adaptation to climatic conditions, and the versatility of fruit usage, the Minnevošta apple variety enjoys well-deserved popularity among gardeners and dacha owners.
