Apple CARMELETA

Columnar apple tree "Carmelita" is a low-growing tree with a neat columnar crown, reaching a height of 1.2 to 1.6 meters. This plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, capable of withstanding frost down to -40°C, and possesses enhanced immunity to most apple diseases. The apple tree is undemanding to growing conditions and quite productive: up to 6 to 9 kg of fruit can be harvested from one adult tree. Fruiting begins in September, when harvesting maturity is reached. "Carmelita" fruits are small, weighing 25 to 50 grams, with a round, slightly flattened shape and smooth skin. The apple color varies from green to lemon-yellow with a reddish blush, giving them an attractive appearance. The skin is dense and elastic, ensuring good fruit storage. The flesh has a very dense, fine-grained structure and makes a characteristic crunch when bitten. The taste is sour-astringent with a light pleasant sweetness and pronounced muscat-honey notes, while the aroma is refreshing and pleasant. The apple tree "Carmelita" is a self-fertile culture, which simplifies care and increases yield stability. Despite high disease resistance, preventive treatments are recommended to protect against insect pests. Due to its qualities and compact size, this apple tree is excellent for growing in limited spaces, such as home plots and urban gardens, ensuring a stable and tasty harvest.
