SALMAN is an ultra-early zucchini hybrid of American selection, intended for growing in open ground. The period from germination to technical ripeness of fruits is only 40 days, which allows obtaining an early crop. The plant is powerful, bush-type with a single stem and open habitus, which facilitates harvesting. Leaves are of medium size, without spotting, and the hybrid differs in resistance to zucchini and watermelon mottle virus, as well as to low temperatures. SALMAN fruits are cylindrical in shape, pale green in color with slight spotting, 15-20 cm in length and 500-800 g in weight. The skin is thin, matte, the pulp is dense, tender, juicy and homogeneous with a small seed chamber. The taste qualities of the fruits are excellent, which makes this zucchini universal for table use and canning. The hybrid is not prone to overgrowth, which allows harvesting fruits of optimal size for maximum yield. To obtain an early crop, it is recommended to grow via seedlings; seeds are sown at the end of April - beginning of May, and seedling transplanting or direct sowing in open ground is after the end of spring frosts. To increase the total yield of the bush, the first fruits should be harvested at a length of no more than 18-20 cm, while larger fruits are well stored until the next harvest. SALMAN is an excellent choice for those who value early ripening, high fruit quality and ease of care.
