NARAN is a medium-late six-row winter barley grain variety developed by the Czech company «Selgen, a.s.». It is recommended for cultivation in all agro-climatic zones of Ukraine and is characterized by high winter hardiness, ensuring reliable overwintering of crops. The average yield of the variety in Ukraine is 60-70 centners per hectare. NARAN differs in its good resistance to drought and grain shedding, which contributes to the stable production of a high yield even under unfavorable weather conditions.
For successful cultivation of the variety, standard agronomic techniques characteristic of the sowing zone are recommended. Seed treatment and fertilizer application are mandatory, which improves germination and plant development. The use of insecticides and humates for winter crops further improves the condition of crops and contributes to increased yield. The seeding rate varies from 180 to 250 kg per hectare depending on sowing dates and weather conditions.
The NARAN variety has high resistance to main barley diseases, which reduces the need for frequent treatments and increases the economic efficiency of cultivation. Thanks to its quality characteristics and adaptability, this barley is a reliable choice for agrarians seeking to obtain quality grain with good technological parameters.
