Description SU Laurielle
The winter barley variety SU Laurielle is a medium-late six-rowed variety with a vegetation period of approximately 260-262 days. Plants reach a height of 70-75 cm and have strong stems, providing good resistance to lodging. The ear is rhomboid-shaped, dense, 8-10 cm long, colored yellow or golden-yellow. This variety belongs to the stiff types with long and serrated awns, which contributes to high yield potential and grain quality.

SU Laurielle is distinguished by high winter hardiness, allowing it to be grown in all regions of Ukraine. It also exhibits high drought tolerance and resistance to shattering. The variety is resistant to major barley diseases, reducing the need for plant protection measures. Due to its adaptability and tolerance to sowing conditions, it is suitable for various soil-climatic conditions and does not require special agronomic practices.

This intensive variety responds well to fertilizer application and foliar feeding, allowing full expression of its breeding potential. Average yield is 60-70 ц/га, with potential to reach 80 ц/га or more under optimal conditions, and maximum yield potential of 95 ц/га. Recommended sowing rate is 3.5-4.0 million germinating seeds per hectare. Stem strength can be enhanced with growth regulators. Sowing dates vary by region: Polissia — September 15-25, Forest Steppe — September 15-30, Steppe — September 20 to October 5.
