The VDL 7045 Watermelon is a high-yield hybrid featuring oval-shaped fruits with bright red, juicy flesh. This variety is distinguished by its high sugar content, reaching 10-11% on the Brix scale, which provides a rich sweet taste and aroma. The flesh is uniform with small black seeds, making the watermelon particularly appealing to consumers. The fruit skin is smooth, moderately thick, and sturdy, contributing to good shelf life and transportability without loss of marketable qualities.
