Watermelon VDL 7045 Watermelon

The VDL 7045 Watermelon is a high-yield hybrid featuring oval-shaped fruits with bright red, juicy flesh. This variety is distinguished by its high sugar content, reaching 10-11% on the Brix scale, which provides a rich sweet taste and aroma. The flesh is uniform with small black seeds, making the watermelon particularly appealing to consumers. The fruit skin is smooth, moderately thick, and sturdy, contributing to good shelf life and transportability without loss of marketable qualities. The plant is characterized by strong growth vigor, sturdy long stems, and a well-developed root system that ensures effective nutrition and resilience to stress conditions, including sunburn. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including arid regions, and demonstrates excellent fruit set. The average weight of watermelons is 9-11 kg, but under favorable conditions and with proper agronomy, the first fruits can reach 15-16 kg. Maturation periods vary from 64 to 68 days from seedling transplanting and 80-83 days from direct sowing. The VDL 7045 Watermelon is suitable for both commercial cultivation and home use. It is widely used fresh, including for fruit platters and other culinary purposes. Thanks to good transportability and a long storage life of 1-2 months when temperature conditions are maintained, this variety retains its taste qualities, making it convenient for marketing and consumption.
