Watermelon Titania

Watermelon Titania F1 — a mid-ripening seedless hybrid of the Shuga Baby type, developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan. The maturation period is 70-75 days from transplanting seedlings. The plant is strong, well-developed, with a dense leaf canopy that protects fruits from UV burns and pests. A large root system provides drought resistance and allows for sustained fruit development under adverse conditions. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and stress tolerance, as well as resistance to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose. Watermelon Titania fruits have a regular round shape and dark green shiny rind with a dense waxy coating, which prevents damage. The average fruit weight is 5-8 kg, and fruits are uniform in size and shape when a hybrid pollinator is present. The flesh is a rich red-bordeaux color, homogeneous, seedless, free of veins and fibers, with a crisp texture and high sugar, vitamin, and beneficial mineral content. The fruits have a pleasant, aromatic taste, making them popular for fresh consumption, processing, and pickling. Watermelon Titania F1 is intended for cultivation in open ground with a recommended planting density of 5-6 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to its excellent taste and stable yield, this hybrid is gaining increasing popularity in supermarkets and vegetable markets. Its robust plant and protective leaf properties provide reliable fruit protection, helping maintain the nutritional value of watermelons during storage.
