The Fronder watermelon variety is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety with a period from germination to the first fruit harvest of 79-83 days. The plant is a trailing variety with green, dissected, and weakly wrinkled leaves of medium size. The fruits are of a wide-elliptical shape, large, weighing from 5.4 to 6.0 kg, with a light-green background and dark-green stripes of medium width that have a prickly structure. The fruit skin is of medium thickness, which ensures good protection during transportation and storage. The Fronder watermelon flesh is characterized by a rich dark pink-red color, medium density, and a delicate texture. It is high in sugar content, which gives the fruits excellent taste qualities. The seeds are large, black, and without a pattern. The variety forms 3-4 fruits on the plant, which contributes to high yield, reaching 218-272 centners per hectare on dry land, exceeding the indicators of standard varieties. Fronder is distinguished by high transportability and the ability to maintain marketable qualities for up to 30-45 days after harvesting. The variety is unpretentious in cultivation, has resistance to powdery mildew (both true and false), and is tolerant to weakly virulent races of anthracnose. These characteristics make it attractive for cultivation in various climatic conditions and ensure a stable and high-quality harvest.
