Description Avangard
The Watermelon Avangard is a very early hybrid with a maturity period of 65-70 days, allowing for harvest in both early and main growing seasons. The plant is vining with a long main tendril and medium-sized green leaves that are lobed and slightly wrinkled. The hybrid is characterized by uniform germination and a powerful start during the initial growth period, ensuring good plant development and high yield.

Avangard watermelon fruits have an oval-round shape with dark green rind adorned with bright stripes and a beautiful yellow spot. Fruit mass ranges from 5.2 to 6.2 kg, with medium-thickness rind. The flesh is dark red, medium density, and crisp, with an excellent taste. Dry matter content is 8.9-9.5%, and total sugar level is 6.1-7.7%, making the watermelon particularly sweet and juicy.

The Avangard hybrid is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose, enhancing its reliability during cultivation. Seeds are large with a characteristic pattern of dots and spots, suitable for both seedling cultivation and direct sowing in open ground. Yield of marketable fruits on dry land reaches 232-335 c/ha, which is 7-51 c/ha higher than the standard, and good transportability allows maintaining fruit quality during transit.
