Viburnum Yaroslavna

Yield Reliability and Disease Resistance

For a garden owner or producer, the «Yaroslavna» viburnum variety, developed by the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS, offers a compelling balance of high yield and low maintenance. One of the primary advantages of this variety is its robust natural resistance to common fungal pathogens, including anthracnose, gray mold, and didymella. This dramatically reduces the need for heavy pesticide applications, ensuring both environmental sustainability and cost-efficiency in farm operations.

Operational Characteristics

The medium-spreading growth habit of the bush makes routine maintenance and harvesting significantly more manageable. The plant structure is naturally balanced, requiring minimal pruning, which saves labor time throughout the season. Beyond its production capabilities, «Yaroslavna» serves as a high-value ornamental asset, integrating seamlessly into landscapes while providing a reliable food source.

• Productivity: Growers can expect a consistent output of 3–5 kg per bush under standard management practices.
• Versatility: The fruit is excellent for fresh consumption and highly suited for professional processing, including jams, juices, and medicinal preparations.
• Low Maintenance: The plant’s high resilience allows it to thrive with minimal intervention, making it a predictable performer even in challenging weather conditions.

For those managing a commercial or private plot, «Yaroslavna» represents a low-risk investment. Its ability to maintain health and productivity without constant specialized treatment makes it an ideal choice for efficient, sustainable berry production.
